We here at Tig Bhric have always put an emphasis on the Arts in the house. Adrienne Heslin, the proprietor, is a working sculptor whose works are to be seen in and around the environs of the pub. We encourage artists to use this space to exhibit their works publicly and already have a varied selection of works on permanent display including stained glass by Stephen Moss and the macabre works of Pat Mc Grath amongst many others. As part of this policy we run a yearly event, Éigse Phádraig, (in memory of Padraig Brick, the late husband of Adrienne) where, in the past, we have organized various events including Art exhibitions, music recitals, poetry readings and theatre workshops for children. Currently we are developing Spás na gCruthanna, a sculpture garden where it is envisaged that there will be both a permanent sculpture exhibition and an additional space for sculptors to exhibit their pieces.
